Why is this site, MYLOT so slow??

Usually, I have no problem with the speed of the MyLot website. Then again, I am not here as much as I would like to be. I am on 1.5 Meg DSL, and today the site is flying pretty well. There are days when this website is slow-ish, but that is not often and could be attributed to our ISP in general.
I would suggest doing a good clean of your computer, defrag, etc. It could be that your computer is so clogged up that the RAM can't process as well as before.

Hmmm, my pc is fairly new. The pc at my office is superfast. But when it comes to mylot it is slow. I do defrgment but i dont think it could affect the speed of one particular site. I even delete the cookies at a regular basis.

some days are slow,others are fast.
it seems to depend on how many people are on at the time.
afternoons tend to be slow (US time)

Hi,
I find it most of the times to be slow, especially in the evenings here. At around midnight it is a bit faster. I find this problem to be in this site only, I even have a decent speed for downloading stuffs, even the straming for "youtube" is OK.

I agree with the first two responses. No problems here today or other days recently. There was a time when there were some slow times but it was before the last upgrades. Since then everything is fine.

Yup, the first 2 guys find it cool, but definitely there are guys who find it slow like me. I think it is maybe because of traffic in this site. But if we talk about traffic then there are many other sites having denser traffic than MYLOT. But they seem to be compatible with the user. Why not MYLOT?
I love this site. I love to be here and part of a discussion but the slow browsing tests my patience.

Well I have using the DSL connection of 128 Kbps. Like you said, I also find problem with mylot. Mylot is slower in comparison to other sites. Sometimes, my pages doesn't open at all specially when multipages are being open. This makes obviously slow but again, its clear that mylot is slower than other sites.
May be because of the various discussions appearing in page that are related to various mylot user accounts, this is a bit slower than other sites.
Keep mylotting...Have a nice time...

But yes you are facing the same problem as I am. It is only this site that i am facing problem with. Did you notice the entire discussion, I think it is here in India that this site is slower. What say?

The site doesn't seem very slow to me. It loads about as fast as everywhere else I go on the internet. Maybe it's just your computer or your internet connection having trouble running faster on the mylot server.

It is strange that I find it really slow. I continuously browse through many different sites, I download lots of stuffs and everything seems to be ok, except this site. I love to be here and participate in discussions, but the slow browsing makes me .....

Maybe it is only slow in certain areas. I am not having problems even today. I am responding and opening dicussions and it is fine. I am in Italy.

actually basing on my work speed, i believe it is just same as to those other sites i am opening. Well, maybe you have that blockers, but actually here in my lot.. there was never been a report that there are error scripts here. Maybe you should try to check your connection as well. Mylot for me is still well.
