The swine flu originated in Mexico. I'm not exactly sure how, but somehow it was transmitted from swine to humans. It is not contracted by eating pork. It is spread from human to human, just like the regular fly. Don't be scared, just take precautions. I heard on the news that you should wash your hands - once a hour. Keep your fingers and hands out of your mouth and eyes. If you are feeling sick, stay home! The best thing we can do is not spread it further. If you get really sick, call your doctor and tell them your symptoms. I have heard that they will send a nurse to your house to test you - it keeps people from spreading the virus at the doctors office.

No swine flu does not come from eating pork. It is a virus. It is a flu that could have started in pigs, but has mutated (as viruses do) and is now making people sick. It is easy to catch like a cold, as viruses are very very small and travel in the air from a cough or sneeze. Just make sure you wash your hands often and then stay away from people who might be sick. Remember when you were small and your mother did not like to go to town because of all of the sick people that were out there. Well I would never go that far, but be aware of your surroundings and if people are coughing and look like they feel really bad then stay awaay from them If you start having flu symptoms including nausea and vomiting do not let it go on for days before seeing or at least calling the doctors office. If you are one who never gets a flu shot in the fall then why worry about something like this when the flu kills so many every year.
