~~~Have you tried something DIFFERENT recently?~~~
To make life more interesting and motivate me to get fitter, I decided to join with some workmates and play 5 aside football. Already do workouts in the gym, yoga and sometime swimming. Also a bit of walking too. However, it is good to push boundaries at times. I can be quite resistant to trying new things at times - can I be arsed? Will this be out of my comfort zone? In the final analysis..."if you do the same old thing all the time, you will get the same out result"!. To push life forward, one has to be bold! . Not quite sure where the 5 aside will take me... but hey its changed the routine a bit! So, have YOU tried anything different recently???
"if you do the same old thing all the time, you will get the same old result!" That is so good and so true. I try to break out of my comfort zone. Last time was signing up for a class I have been wanting to take. I met some new friends and have new information. It was good for me.
I started running recently. I had a family emergency that has pretty much lasted almost 6 months. Since I am out of town I cannot go to the gym. It's a temporary displacement, so it is unreasonable to join while I am here. So, I logged on to www.runnersworld.com and looked at some beginning training programs. When I first started it was all I could do to run a minute then walk two! Today I ran about 1.5 miles in a little over 17 minutes! Not bad for an almost 50 year old just starting out! I am planning on running my first 5K the last weekend in June! So I say, GO FOR IT!!!! ENJOY!!!!
I try to something new each week, even if it is just driving a different way into town. This week I tried to eat 3 vegetables with each meal. It's a stretch but it's amazing what you can put with eggs.
Well done you .Not much chance for a change at the moment we live and breath GCSE's exams more important for my son to pass them for his future.He is really keen to do well so we are all backing him up and helping him.Mind you my friend and I visit the adult playground a mile away.it is really good they have exercise bikes and all sorts of exercisers and it is free to use.It is in the open air a whole new concept in this country.Something for the adults and younger people at last.It is good to have lots of friends and interests just stick with it.xx
