Girl Scout Cookies

I have been a Girl Scout leader and head of the cookie distribution in the area for the past four years. I have to ask: what is your favorite Girl Scout cookie? Most of the cookies go by two names (Caramel Delites aka Samoas; Tagalongs aka Peanut Butter Patties). My favorite is the Peanut Butter Patties since that is what is in our area. I certainly wouldn't mind trying the different distributor's cookies though!

I like the tagalongs and the lemon ones....actually the lemon ones are my favorite....my daughter loves the thin mints and my son will eat any of them and not complain though I bought two of the caramel delites and he ate both packages....practically without taking a breath inbetween!

I love hearing the variety of people's favorites, even amongst the same household. In my area, caramel delites are definitely the top seller, followed by the patties and thin mints. However, the lemon addicts can get a little scary if you don't have enough for them! Hopefully you don't go to any extremes to get your hands on a lemon cookie. :)

OH my girl scout cookies are so yummy and i wish they would sell them all year round. My mother and sister in law have been doing it for years and they just love it and it does keep them occupied. I seem to like the shortbread, peanut butter patties and then the chocolate and peanut butter ones are really good to. They are so yummy and delicious, and what wouldn't they sell them year round? Wouldn't they make more money? Well its a good idea and everyone i know buys them.

It's pretty much the only way we earn money. We actually have a candy/magazine sale in the fall, but I don't think people even realize that! If we sold them all year long, I don't think they would go over quite as well once we do sell. I think people would binge and than get sick looking at them! I noticed though on Ebay that you can get cookies pretty much through the year (at a hefty price).

I was a Girl Scout Leader and also Cookie Chairman. It is so had to pick a favorite Girl Scout cookie. They are all so good, but if I had to choose. I would choose the Thin Mints. My (future) husband would have to say the Tagalongs.
