I'm thinking about getting into the field. I just want to know your opinion. I was going to start back with online courses to get an AS in Internet Marketing and SEO and I was just wondering if it would be a worthwhile venture. Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated. Plus any advice you can give.

Depends how good you are at building a client-base, really. In general I see lot's of people looking for advice and help so as long as you have a good means to bring those people to your doorstep you should do fairly well. Just my thoughts. Not sure you would really need schooling for that though, just lot's and lot's of research on your own. I'm sure schooling helps, though.

You are right. If I was more dedicated I could self teach myself all of the necessary skills. But I'm not that dedicated and I've been doing it a little half arsed with no practical skill practice. I think school would give me that drive and I would commit myself to training toward working toward building up some clientele as I start small.

Aha, well. As long as you have that drive anything is possible.

If you can get a popular topic that you can blog about forever and fix a nice template for your blog, buy domain name and maybe add some meta tags... I'm sure you can earn pretty good. THe problem with me is that I always want something new and can't blog about the same topic.

That is my problem too. This is why I have a few blogs going...and I haven't been dedicated to keeping them up as I planned. I recently just bought a domain but I haven't done anything with it. I'm not sure where to start and what subject to stick to. ACK! This is why I think going to school would help. It would either guide me in the path to a great career or it will motivate me to be able to do this all on my own. Researching what I don't know and asking others for things that I get stuck on. Are you in the field? Or do you have a popular blog that brings you a reasonable amount of income?

Earning via setting up your own sites etc in my opinion is the best way to go. To be honest though I'm not sure if it's really necessary to do any extra studying (though I guess that depends on what you want to do/learn etc) I've been doing it for awhile now and while I don't know everything when it comes to SEO (it keeps changing anyway :-) ) I certainly have the basics down and seem to be getting pretty good results. From what I've learnt when it comes to internet marketing the hardest part is not the seo it's actually finding the right topic. If you can do that the rest almost comes naturally. Providing you're prepared to have a bit of patience and are willing to put the time and effort in initially it's certainly a great choice in career or part time business etc

I have been working in an seo and web designing firm, and as far as my experience is concerned seo is going to stay here, due to the rising population when we would not have space to conduct marketing campaigns and stand the large hoardings, then only internet will be there, to provide information about the different products and their values. Internet marketing is aspiring fastest and stable face or marketing.
