Every morning a wife needs to wake up early cooks food, cleans the dishes, wash clothes, cleans the house and do a lot of household chores and sometimes after that she needs to go to work and before going to bed she makes sure that everything is alright and ready for the next day it is a routine. Is she a saint who never stops from working and doing things for her family? Maybe a wife is just a type of person who exaggerates their difficulties in order to gain sympathy of the husband? Are you a saint or a martyr?

My question would be why isn't someone else in the household helping the wife with all of these chores? Maybe it's a cultural thing but I would never work so hard to maintain my home all by myself while the other members of the household sat on their butts.

thanks, that is some of the problem of many wives today, they keep on working while other just enjoying their seats, maybe they need to check the rules or let or encourage kids to help her. good for you, you are not abusing your health.God Bless

The kind of wife who takes on all the traditional expectations of a wife and allows herself to be overworked with these is a martyr. The husband and wife who work together sharing the word (both go out to work, both take care of the house, both take care of the children, both take care of eachother, both take care if the finances) are both saints!
