I will be 'out of pocket' for awhile. My dear sweet husband of just over 50 years, passed away tonight, and I know my life will never be the same. My heart is just so heavy. Classy Cat Thank God for 50 + years - 2 children - 4 grandchildren + 2 great grandchildren, with one more due in Nov. He was a wonderful man, and was well liked by everyone that knew him.

I am sorry to hear about the lost of your better half. I know how sad it is to have someone leaving us. I grew up with my great grandparents and I never knew how to start my life when my great grandmother passed away. Remember to be strong for your kids and for your grandchildren. They need you and they will hold on to you. I wish I could console you more than words can say. I wish that you can easily move on with your life, the next chapter. I do not know what more to say but just my sincerest condolences. I will pray for your husband and for your family to be strong and to be able to accept the sad reality of life. May he rest in peace. ='(

I'm sorry for your loss. I know how tragic it can be to lose the person you devoted your life to. Never let the grandkids forget their grandfather. It really will help mold them into great people. I know from experience. I too have lost a grandfather, my lover and a child. Hope you pull through with all of your wit and charm.

This is just one of those times (when the jolly bubbly me who loves to talk about wonderful, loving husbands and happy moments shared together) my lips automatically shut up, keep silent and my arms gather the one in distress and hug 'em tight...i wish i could do the same to you right now...

I'm so very sorry for your loss. It is very hard to lose someone you love and spent so many years with. You have your family, call on them if you need to or feel the need. Don't be alone in your lonliness. You need others you love and that care for you around you for some time to come. My condolences to you and your family. Don't be afraid to ask for help from all of the places out there that can help you financially and other wise. That's what they are there for.

Sorry to hear of your loss, ClassyCat, but I can't understand why you are HERE!! I know that this is the last place that I would be after such a loss. But just remember that he will live on in those children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, so will never be out of your life for one second. Remember all those wonderful moments that you have shared and relive them with your family.

My condolences ClassyCat. We don't know each other at all, but I do wish you and your family every blessing and hope that the day comes sooner rather than later when your feelings of sadness and loss are replaced with joyous memories of how he lived! From what you've shared, you have a wonderful family here and he is of course in each and every one of them! God bless.
