Well, people from different countries have varied accent maybe because of our unique culture which has so many provinces with different dialects therefore affecting our accent. In the Philippines alone, we have more than 20 dialects with different accent and tone, and these variations greatly affected our accent when speaking English or our national language-Tagalog. Though I must admit, it is always fascinating to hear other people speak in a pleasing accent-like that of a "twang", I always respected people who cannot even pronounced a single word clearly.

I love to hear different accents. Even just within my home country there are so many different accents like someone from Liverpool sounds very different from a person from Newcastle. The most unusual accent is found in Birmingham. I adore hearing a French accent because it sounds beautiful. I like hearing an American accent very much indeed. I came home from Australia with an Australian accent and had to show my passport to prove my nationality. An accent makes a person more interesting to me. A Caribbean accent I find especially charming.

Hi mybrownhair2008,it all depends on the accent itself.I have seen people who has a specific accent but that does not make things irritating but very interesting about that person. But,people with bad accent and accent not suitable for a proper place is something which turns me off.
