Granted I'm only an amature photographer but with the 1000s of photos I've taken with my digital camera I would so love to do something more than just over load my computer with them.
I've tried a few of the 'stock photo' sites and have made nothing at all from them so decided maybe I could try just selling some photos outright. I found this sie backprint.com where they handle all the selling, printing, and such you just upload your photos and set up your own web site.
They offer photos on cups, keychains, and other products but before I waste any more time I was wondering if anyone if familure with this site or others similar (no referral links please).
The photo I included here is one of nearly 100 I took last weekend at a local park

Hey friend!
No, I'm not familiar with the site, but I think I'm going to go and check it out as well. I've taken some pretty awesome shots lately myself since getting my new digital camera in November, including three really awesome lightening photos that everyone says are SOOO hard to actually get. I love the daffodils!

I've never heard of the site until reading this post but I'm curious to find out what anyone who has had experience with them has to say..Like you, I have 1000s of pics overloading my computer and some of htem are quite good and I'd like to sell them as well...I've considered doing stock sales but making any money that way just seems next to impossible especially since I'm not a professional photographer ya know....
Hopefully you'll get more replies to this thread, I'll have to keep an eye on it..

I still haven't found anyone on myLot that is familure with this site and actually did some research on yahoo and found a couple people who were not happy with the service (delivery problems and wrong products). I decided not to even bother but am hoping to find something similar. I did come across an article on selling photos on ebay but would need a printer and I don't have one right now. If interested let me know and I can send you the link to the page talking about it.

LOL is looking like not a whole lot of other mylotters have heard of it either - going to have to resort to old fashioned search engine to find out some info on them :)

I have no idea about this site. Usually I just put them on my computer or have them on my photo frame. I do not know if this Backprint is allowed for Canadians, but I doubt it. I use my photos as screesavers or show them off to relatives, but I do not have good camera so i have not taken that many.

It seems a lot of people aren't familure with it but I searched on yahoo and found a couple people commented that they had problems with customers complaining about how long it took for deliveries of products and another said they sent the wrong photo. I'm passing on that idea :(
