Stupid Laptop Messages

Stupid messages - Why does my laptop need to tell me when I plug in or unplug my headphones?

So I go to listen to some music and plug in my headphones only to see this moronic message pop up in the corner of the screen. Not only is this annoying but there is no way to disable it. I checked all of the help topics on my laptop and there is no way to shut this off. It can be annoying when I get a call (and unplug the headphones) and I am in the middle of typing and the message comes up because it prompts away from what I am typing. Anyone else have pet peeves like this about their laptop or computer throwing out random messages like this?

I have several of these, and a few that cannot be deleted, at least I can't find a way. One, in Thai is most annoying because it partly blocks out the screen, and prevents me from reading. When I close it, it opens again immediately. Grrrr!

What exactly is the messages that keeps popping in your laptop. Is it the windows update or antivirus are you referring to? Maybe you should update your secuirty programs especially the anti-virus or your internet security.

It's just a message saying that I plugged in my headphones, it happens regardless of whether I am online or not. There is no way to disable it. It is more than just a little annoying.

Even I am sometimes frustrated with the pop up messages appearing on the task bar. But we can disable these messages. This will help you: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-security-center-popup-notifications-in-windows-vista/
