I don't know what kind of tea you've been drinking..But the tea I drink definitely doesn't have POISON in it! It has antioxidants in it - which are actually REALLY good for you & your immune system. It also has caffeine, but it usually has LESS caffeine than most coffee (unless the coffee is half-caf or de-caf), so it's also better for you in that respect too. Coffee is the sure-fire way to wake up in the morning, though (because of the enormous amount of caffeine in just one cup) and it's more socailly-accepted in my country (the US). I don't really drink either, but I try to drink tea if I need thge caffeine.

Not to be a "know it all" but...You got that one backwards (sortof). Yes antioxidants are basically good for you. But what you actually try to achive with antioxidants is the "neutralization" of the "biproduct" oxidation has namely radicals (also known as free radicals). These free radicals have a function in your body namely when you are sick (have an infection or an inflamation) they kill bakteria. but as a side effect is that they kill healthy cells. You body already have a system of "keeping the radicals in check" and antioxidats is a part of this. So saying antioxidants is really good for your immune system is simply not true they actually try hinder it.

...Had to comment more on this (I sounded like some kind of political lobbyist for the "radicals" saying that the "antioxidants" are killing all of us :) ) If you eat FAT (you can eat the "right" kind for the other health benefits but the "bad" kind works to) and otherwise eat a balanced diet. You are getting all the antioxidats you will ever need. And I canĀ“t see any problem with eating to much antioxidants becouse antioxidats neutrulize the radicals not the process of oxidation that producess radicals.

There is no poison in tea. It is medically proved that tea is helpful for our health whan it is drinked with out mink. I drink tea and I drink a lot. I think it refreshes our body and mind. It gives us some extra energy instantly. If you are very tired then after drinking it you will feel fresh. I also drink coffee but only in winter. I think coffee is more power buster than that of tea. Both are good but I prefer tea because it is helpful to our health.

mink?!?! milk. Where did you pull that one from?!?! If this is some kind of religious thing. I suppose you could get the fat and calcium some other way (and just about everybody is set on the fat part).

I prefer coffee over tea most of the time. I still like my occasional tea but I usually go for the coffee. I have no idea on how to make some advantages of drinking both.

I used to prefer coffee, until last summer. Since then I prefer drinking tea over coffee. I got really sick last summer, which compromised my immune system, and when I got better, my tastes and preferences changed, which includes coffee. I lost my taste for coffee and began having a preference for tea.

I drink both, most of the time I drink coffee in the mornings. I don't know which way that most people drink their tea but, to me there isn't anything better on a hot summer day then cold glass of tea with ice in it. If tea has poison in it,it must not be to bad a poison because I've drank plenty tea in my life time and I'm still kicking.lol

Hello springs, I have to agree with sweetashoney . I have coffee every morning at least 1 cup and sometimes 2 and I have drank tea all of my life. I love iced tea plain with lemon only. I have iced tea in my refridgerator and I drink it all year long and if I am feeling ill I will heat the tea and add lemon and sugar in my hot tea.
