I would say Paula Abdul, cause she knows how to encourage the contestants rather than humiliating them like Simon does. Simon is very sarcastic and shrewd. Randy is very diplomatic. So overall I'd definitely side with Paula.

My favorite judge is Paula. You can tell the contestants nicely that they are not cut out for the music business without being rude and nasty about it. Paula has a heart and actually cares about their feelings.

I also like Paula. She really encourages the contestants to do there best and always finds something positive to say about everybody.

Hands down again to Mr. Simon Cowell. Simon is the realist judge on American Idol. No Simon doesn't sugar coat anything, I don't think Simon would know how to. In the outside real world of the music business Simon is just a taste of how it is if they don't think you got it. Simon is always on point and he keeps it 100 all the time. If you want to make it in the industry of music or dancing, acting etc... you have to have thick skin bottom line. ~Simon Rocks~

THIS IS ALL IN MY OPINION In terms of giving an authentic "judge's response," I'd say Randy. He really gives the technical aspects of things. Paula's there to make the contestants feel good about themselves, critiquing on the clothes and make up..how good they look on stage (physical appearance) and Simon's there to tell you if you can make it good in the business or not (like..your confidence, your stage presence, charisma). Now that Kara's here, I've grown to like her (I admit that at the start of the competition, I hated her..or maybe not her, but that of having a 4th judge). Kara..."ARTISTRY" Haha. I'm kidding. She's like Randy:)
