I am a vegetarian, have been one for over 2 years now. To be honest: I don't miss meat, I hate it. The idea that you're chewing on muscles.. Ew ^^ Anyway; sometimes I get comments of people like "You stupid carrot-killer" or "Look at me! I'm enjoying this delicious piece of meat!!". It's not as if I care about those people saying that, but I don't like the fact the people can be so disrespectful. So I wondered: what do you think of vegetarians (Question for the meat-eaters)?

I think you should eat whatever you want, like, and agrees with you, i do like veggies but to make a daily thing of it for "me " just doesn't work. how strict of a vegetarian are you ? do yu eat fish ? egg's ? or just solid veggies ? i need a steak every now and then, bar-b-que chicken, and some ribs w/ veggies. anyway grab your carrot, be happy and munch away.

I also don't eat fish. I do eat eggs and drink milk, but only biological. I basically try to be as good for everyone in this world as I can, and that includes the animals. It seems that the 'bad food' vegetarians eat is a huge threshold for people who want to become vegetarian. But to be honest: if you find the right vegetarian food, you can make much nicer things than with meat. And while eating, you don't have to feel guilty. That's a huge pro for me.

so basically you do it because of feeling guilty about the animal's ? or that it is supposed to be a healthier life style ? just trying to understand why people go vegetarian. I "was" going to have" bacon " and eggs.

hi i am not against vegetarian ... but i have come across many people who say "I AM VEGETARIAN .. " big deal, it is your choice ... why do you need to show off .. secondly some vegetarians want to have special treatment for them as they are "VEGETARIANS" recently i attended an event where 20 persons (organisers of the event) were vegetarian and they made other 550 guest attending the event ?? and there were alot of food wastages as not all of them love vegetarian food thirdly .. as most restaurants are not fully vegetarian, this people go to the extend of forcing the chef to wash all the dishes before cooking for them .. during busy period .. hope i dont offend you in anyways i am vegetarian for the next whole month but i must make sure i dont offend anyone, when people ask me to buy them anything non vege, i will .. so what ??

Yeah...I only mention that I'm vegetarian if I have to, or if it's topical. Like now. =) Also, it can be very difficult to find something you can eat when eating out with friends. Hitting an Indian, Asian, or Ethiopian place helps (oh, and it's so yummy), but in your typical American restaurant, it's hard to even find a salad with no meat on it (seriously, it's really frustrating). But this is what one has to do when eating with their meat-eating friends. However, if it's just you and another Veg, there are sometimes some good Veg restaurants where you don't have to worry about what's touching what back in the kitchen. People have to remember that no matter what they do and do not eat, if they are really expecting their plates to be completely uncontaminated by meat, they should probably just eat at home. Admittedly, it is also frustrating when we are given a hard time about it, although folks with allergies are catered to (no argument there--they can't help it), or when people have diet restrictions because of religious reasons (sorry...that's a lifestyle choice, just like mine is, so I do expect the same consideration).

Hi Tcboss, I have a lot of respect for vegetarians. It is purely a matter of choice whether you choose to have meat or not.I have tried a lot to give up meat but to be very honest,my family never allowed me to do so.As long as I do not get married,I cannot exercise my will because I am still a student and dependent on my parents. So I have to act according to their wishes. But I and my boyfriend have decided that once we get married,we will go the vegetarian way.I think non-vegetarian people also suffer from more illnesses than their counterparts.I hate the killing that takes place to satisfy people's greed.I am being very honest about this topic as it is always at the corner of my mind and at last I have found a place to express it.I have always felt that even if one or two people give up meat and can influence some of their friends to go about the same way,a change can very gradually be brought about.Just ignore those who tell you all this and be proud that you are a vegetarian!

How horrible, I get comments of carnivorous bad people in my blog criticizing it. What is to criticize? It's we who are doing the right thing. That really don't bother me, I know I'm right and I'm good while they are bad and the last thing I want is to be like them. You are doing the right thing, and maybe there are some friends you should not be so near. Someone told me that I was killing letuce.........that letuces are alive so me being Vegetarian is not really not eating anything alive........................ Oh well. I laughed, what else can I do? Now when I am doing something wrong I don't criticize who is doing the right thing, so being Vegetarian is not right but an awsome thing. So is throwing trash in the garbage, planting a three, we can never say something who is doing the right thing. Making the world better.
