i started having a cellphone when i was already in my second year college, and that was given to me by my boyfriend. that was just a second hand cellphone. that cellphone was phillip savvy. i dont know if that still exists today. i remember those time that if you have cellphone you are in a fashion trend. everybody will look at your cellphone while you are texting. but today, having a cellphone is just a normal thing for everybody. how about you, what was your first cellphone?

Nokia 3310. It was my 12th birthday present from my mom. I remember I was so careless I put it on top of my mom's car while waiting for her, I forgot that i had a cellphone cause it was kinda new. So when my mom was ready, we got in the car, she drove off and pfffft it dropped. We ran over it and it broke into pieces!

I can't remember the make, although it may have been a Motorola. It was bloody huge and the battery was in a separate case that I had to lug around and it weighed a ton! The other thing I remember about it was that you had to shout down the thing and you couldn't get a signal most of the time!

Hi there Xanne Bull. I have had a Sagem as my first mobile phone. It was monochrome and it had a small antenna, and it wasn't polyphonic or something. I received it when i was heading for high school in my 9th grade. I was pretty happy with it, even if now it would be really outdated. My first bought phone however was a Nokia model.

I had mine during the dawn of the dinosaur cellphones. A very slim Uniden, one liner screen cellphone. Then, I had this very big screen Alcatel with a touchscreen and light pen. With almost unlimited memory. It was the very first touch screen cellphone ever. Then a Nokia 7650. I had it because it was the first cellphone to have a camera. Now, I have a Nokia N82, which reminds me, I hate having a cellphone. Cheers!

I got my first ever phone during my first year in college and it was a Nokia 3310. I wasn't really into mobile phones at all and even up to now, I don't fancy getting a new one since the one that I currently have is still good enough for me. Yeah, when it comes to mobile phones, I could still remember my classmates coming inside the class room with a different model of mobile phone that either they own or borrowed from another student in another class just to show among their classmate/friends. There was even a classmate of mine who really did change her phone often. She was rich anyway so I wasn't surprised about that.. (^_^")

Hello xannebull. Yes, I can still remember my first cell phone. I still keep it though I don't use it any more. It is made in China, a Chinese brand--kejian brand--k60. It was very expensive when I bought it, which cost me 1800RMB. I used it for three years before I bought my second one. Take care.

Hello xannebull, I think the first cell phone that I had (it was like 15 years ago) was a thick Motorola phone which looks more like a walkie talkie. I can't remember the model exactly but I remember how bulky it was. I bought it with my first salary from my first job. That time Motorola was a favorite model and Nokia had just started to gain more customers.

My first cell phone was a sony ericson phone about 7 years ago. it was a very small phone, about the size of my palm, and i remember everyone that saw it thought it was the cutest thing lol... i had the phone for a while, then i switched to the razor; the first one that came out... and then that phone was the coolest phone on the market lol...

A guy named Martin Cooper is credited with man=king the first call on a cellular phone back in 1973. He was head of Motorola, I think. Certainly the phone was a Motorola, and the man he phoned was the boss of rival telco A.T and T. My first was a Motorola, but I didn't get one until about 1988.

My first cell phone was a very large nokia, although you can still find them today if you look hard enough haha. I loved it but only had it because I was in college and my mom said I needed something before I went away. The cool things to have in college was a cell phone, a car, and a computer for freshman kids. I only had a cell phone. So I flaunted it everywhere. I remember the flip ones were just starting to come out so I finally got one of those after freshman year. The nokia surprisingly had texting but I didn’t understand it until a boy started texting me all the time at the end of the year. It was pretty awkward using it ha. I am amazed to see how things have changed in so little time. Five years later and they have phones that can do everything.

I had a cell phone since I was 16, it was part of the family plan, I never really used it though when I was younger, it was mainly for my mom to get a hold of me to check up on things, or for me to call her in cases of emergencies. My cell phone I have now is on a single plan, and it's my everything phone. We don't have a house phone because everyone else in the household has their own cell phone as well.

Hey there! I was given my first cellphone back when I was in grade 7. I remember my parents telling me that it was not a toy and it had great responsibilities attached to it. My first cellphone was a Nokia 5110. It was extremely durable and very advanced during its time.
