Disgusting Surname...!!!

I have a friend before who has disgusting surname.Her age for me was still young to enter marriage life.I wondered why she wanted to marry as soon as possible. I don't remember any reasons why she acted that way,except her surname.Thanks to her husband,her family name now sounds good.Just the same surname known in our society. It sounds great!If you happen to have disgusting surname,would you marry as early as possible just to change your family name too?
