I am 21 years old. Sexually active. And wants to have a baby when I was 20. So here's my story. My boyfriend and I wants to end up together we planned to make a baby. I am not taking any contraceptives and so was he. Months of trying still we failed. I consulted a OBSTETRICIAN GYNECOLOGIST and I found out that I have Polysystic Ovarian Syndrome. I was shocked and thought that I would never bear a child in my tummy. She said that there is no assurance that I can be a mother but it's worth a try. I am so afraid of what might the result may be. Do you know someone with this kind of illness and managed to bear a child in her womb?

Hi there... sorry to hear that. Don't worry, there are many option that you can take. If the doctor said, you can't have a baby then you could think about adoption. Adoption is a good idea too, I believe a lot of kids out there need your love and care if you learn how to give love to others. I always want to have a big family, but I can't cuz I dont have anybody to help me. I have two kids so far and I still want another one... it always fun to get pregnant but it always some bad way also, so if you dont have a chance to get pregnant then try to think about other choose that you both could take. You are just 21 and you still too young and dont worry too much, ok? Another thing, I would want to have kids after I married. I think you know what I meant here.

Ofcourse. I'm just not sure if my soon to be partner will agree to that and if he'll stay loyal to me despite of my incapability. I'm just not sur5e about a lot of things. I'm beginning to worry much about this issue. Being young? Yes I am. But I'll be 22 sooner, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and so on and so forth and still the problem is still there. I just cant control my tears whenever I talk about this and I really badly want to be a mom soon. 5 years from now is a great time. I guess.

I've heard of people being able to have kids even with that. I would definatly ask your OBGYN about what your options are to help things along. Typically they won't intervene if you have tried unsucessfully for a year to concieve. But perhaps given the circumstances they would be able to help you sooner than the one yr wait? Good Luck!

Yes I have known 4 women with this problem and they all eventually became mothers. It is not impossible to have a child with PCOS but it can take longer there is plenty of help out there though id advise finding a support group in your area that can give you the advice you and your partner need there are things you can do to help improve the chance of falling pregnant naturally. Good Luck I wish you all the best.
