What exactly is SPAM?

Originally, Spam was used to denote Unsolicited Email, but especially Commercial Email. Now the term seems to include any posting that use to be called Flooding, the process of posting multiple lines of the same text two or more times in a chatroom. I have even seen it used in reference to a message that is posted two or more times in a forum

It is something I don't want and you don't want to get on our mail. Sometimes you can get 100 from people you don't know. On this site it is referral to information you do not ask for, but you get on your message box.
