All for free

Over the weekend all the churches came together in my home town and organised lots of different events that were all free across our town. It all climaxed in one big event at our local park where they held a free giant boot sale and also had a 2 hours fun time for the children. At the free giant boot sale you could go in and pick whatever you liked for free although they did limit it to 5 items per person which some people were moaning about which I found quite sad. But I suppose you always get them. We done very well out of it as I ended up with a proper rat cage for my rats as they were in a converted bird cage. We also got a snooker table not full size but will fit nicely on our coffee table in the living room which will give the children a lot of fun. My 8 year old son chose two toy cars but did not take any more as he did not want to appear greedy. I also got a small figure of Stephanie from Lazy Town (children's TV show)that speaks when you push the button on her tummy. My three year old son was delighted with it as he is a big fan. There was lots of different things there, furniture, clothes, shoes, book electric goods and toys. All these things had been donated by various people who no longer needed them. It just goes to show that sometimes you can get something for nothing. What do you think of this idea would you like your town to do something like this?

Hey littleone! I think that is a wonderful thing that your town does! I wish that my town would be able to do something so helpful! And how dare people be so greedy to want to take more than 5 things! I would be thrilled to have one thing for free! I am glad that you were able to get things that would make your little children happy! That is so important! I give the churches in your town alot of credit for putting something like that together!

Hi Opal It was wonderful of them they decided to organise it because of the financial crisis we are all going through at the moment.
