I am a very good typist, and there's nothing I can mention any disadvantages of being a good typist. The advantages are: since I know where all the alphabets and numbers are by heart, I can type without looking at the keyboard and that makes my speed much faster than non-typist.

I am not a very good typist since I still sometimes look at the keyboard whenever I type but, if you can really just type without looking at the keyboard, I think that is really a good advantage as you don't waste time on looking and knowing the letters by heart is quite good. On the other hand, it would also be good if you do know who to type the correct spellings of the word so that you would also have a faster typing speed.

Well we can type really very fast and thus saving time for other stuffs. When we becomes a very good typist from practice then we tend to think that we get really a lot of time compared to soemone who takes so long to type something which we rarely take few seconds.

knowing byheart the keys of your keyboard is very helpful. whenever you want to type something very urgently, be it a letter or a report, your typing speeds counts a lot. as these days, every aspect of your life is dependent on a pc, you need to be an expert with it. if u want to improve your typing speed just spend a few hours on the typing software which you can get free from the net. it shows you how to match your each fingers with each letter on the keyboard. surely, you will know the difference when you know the typing. i have seen people struggling to type a long report. for an ordinary person it takes, may be, half an hour to type a full page report but for a typist it juts take 5 minutes to type a full page. so as you can see its a time saving skill too.

I am not really a good typist. Even if I am not a good typist, I can type more than 100 words in a minute. I say I am not a good typist because the proper positioning of the fingers in the keyboard is not what I followed. But I still manage to type quickly because I am a left handed person. Most of the letters that we are typing are positioned in the left side of the keyboard. Anyway, back to the discussion. There are lots of advantages than disadvantages for being a typist. You can easily finish your computer works. You can easily be hired to companies who need typist as a job qualification. You can respond easily to discussion in myLot if you are a typist especially to people whose mind are faster than their hands. The only disadvantage that I can think if you are a typist is that if you are in a group project, you will be probably be in charge in computer works and your skills in typing maybe abused by them.
