Do you think it's time for Manny Pacquiao to retire from boxing?

After that impressive win against "the Hitman" (I'm always getting hit, man) Hatton there are no more doubts that Pacquiao is THE best pound for pound fighter in the world. Pacuiao definitely has nothing left to prove. he doesn't have to fight for money anymore. I defintely want to see more of Pacquiao I want to see him blast a hundred more fighters but from his point of view do you think it would be wise for Manny to retire while he is on top of his game. Like I said with regards to achievements I don't think there's anything left for Manny to strive for in boxing and he clearly has more interests. How many of you think it's time for him to retire so he can pursue those other interests?

No, definitely not yet, that Win over Hatton was kinda easy because he didn't listen to his coach mayweather,sr. and instead went on his own plan to destroy manny, and failed with a Knock out. If Manny loose more than three times, then that's probably it. but he hasn't lost yet in that Division. besides, he'll run for politics again if he retire.

Hello anaknitatay, good day to you! Well, like what you said Manny PACMAN Pacquia was really the best POUND FOR POUND fighter in the world because of his great fight where he really defeat those popular boxer and he really give a great fight with them. Then just like you, I also thinking that Manny PACMAN Pacquiao has nothing to be proved other thins especially in his boxing career because he already give our country an honor in fighting that's why many people here in our country became more proud being a Filipino citizen because they know that the blood rushing through their veins was great which somehow same with the Champion Manny PACMAN Pacquiao. Regarding with your topic about retirement of Manny PACMAN Pacquiao after this great fight? I guess he will still continue his fighting career and fight for his one last fight at the ring corner before he get pass the retirement. As we all know Manny PACMAN Pacquiao has already the good amount of money for her to stop boxing career and just sit because he have nothing to do with, for the reason he already have the enough money to get rest. In my own opinion, if ever there would be a Filipino who are in the same situation of Manny PACMAN Pacquiao that will stop career, people will think that he just want money. That's why I guess Manny PACMAN Pacquiao will not file retirement because he still want to give a honor and popularity of our country in order for many tourist to visit our country. But if Manny PACMAN Pacquiao will use his head and show his practicality may be he must just stop his boxing career and let give time for his family because it is very important to be with the complete family. Well, that's all the end of my response with your discussion regarding the retirement of Manny PACMAN Pacquiao, I hope I share a good Idea in that particular topic. Thank you very much! Happy posting and happy earning to everyone of us here in mylot.

If I'm in Manny's shoe's, I would rather retire and enjoy the fruit of my labor. He works really hard and whatever he achieves now at this point of his life he deserves it. I'm proud of Manny Pacquiao, for what he become, and for what he contributed to our country. Long live.

I think it is not the right time for him to retire. Now that he won over Hatton I think his career in boxing is going to continue. Many boxers are wants to fight him because of what he achieved in his boxing career. I'm looking forward for Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr. We know that he is very rich now if ever he wants to fight more I think it is for the fame not for the money.

i think it is sad to see pacman the great boxer not in the ring. he is a great boxer. i mean his strength, his throne, victory, and more. it is sad to see him not in the ring. i love to watch his fight because they are all great. it is that manny always win the fight. he is still young and can do more fights. maybe because of his desire in politics that people think that he will retire but he should not. if he really wants to enter politics, he should first undergo a little bit more study about the constituion.

i think manny pacquiao should fight two or three more fights. i mean he is at the peak of his career right now and it'll be a shame if he hang his gloves right now and retire. i think he's going to fight the winner of the mayweather-juan manuel marquez fight. i know mayweather will go through juan manuel marquez so a mayweather-pacquiao is possible and hopefully they sort things out and get the fight on. i'd also like to see pacquiao go up agaisnt juan manuel marquez again sicne i think among the mexican boxers that pacquiao faced, juan manuel marquez gave the best effort and really pushed pacquiao to the distance. a fight with miguel cotto is also good since cotto is also a great boxer and i think pacquiao and him can light up the boxing ring, just not so sure if this fight will bring it the money from fans. economics is always a factor to be considered in fights like this. just my thoughts!!! cheers!!!

I think Manny Pacquiao is more determine to find the much stronger fighter.. Someone that Manny could sweat on.. And I don't think for now would be the right time.. He's still young and can do much of fight in the few more years.. He gives so much excitement and happiness to the Filipinos for every fight he has... I'm not an avid fun of him nor the boxing sports, but we must admit, he has really strong impact to most Filipinos to unite for a day.. And that's really something.. I hope others not only Manny can do something what he does... It's just a good thing to know people unite...

Manny was really so blessed with this continuous success in his boxing career. God preferred him to be in the field of boxing and he excel in it. Am afraid if he change his career he might not be as successful and as happy as before. He's well loved and recognized by even great people in the world. I don't think it's time for him to retire, as the saying goes "strike while the iron is hot". While God is continuously pouring his blessings, it's the best way for Manny to stay. If he would retire however, to avoid sickness in the future, that's fine but if he retire to enter into politics, I doubt he would gain the same success.

Retiring while you are on top of your game is really the best option. However, with what he showed during his fight with Hatton, many analysts are saying he is actually at his prime as a boxer now and he can do more. He can still fight and there's but a slim chance that he'll lose. If that's the assessment about Manny's capacity is realistic, I think he should still do a fight or two before eventually retiring.

I would suggest that Pacman retire now. I think it's not a matter of proving what he can achieve but for him to enjoy the fruit of his labor. He can have all the time and all the money needed for his family and i believe for generations more to come if he will be wise. But if he retires from boxing i'm praying as well that he won't take politics as his next arena. He will surely be knocked out if he will take a plunge into it.

I am a huge fan of Pacquiao and i don't think it's time for him ro retire from boxing. he's too young to retire, he hasn't found his match yet. i think he can still find ones that he can really sweat on like Mayweather. i can't wait to see the pacquiao-mayweather fight. i am sure it would be a big one. mayweather seeems to be a tough fighter and i wanted to see the real action between two great fighters. go manny!

I think that I would like to see Manny fight Mayweather first before he retires. And if he beats Mayweather, then there's really no doubt, that Manny Pacquiao is the best and #1 Pound for Pound boxer in the world. Then he can retire and live happily with his family, wife and kids. That's only my opinion though. happy earning!

I think no, because he is a good fighter, his fight has always won, this is his dream job so why did he wants to retire, this job found to get his financial needs.

He is at his prime right now and it is really sad to see him retired in his career. I do think that he is going to his older age but I think his strength is really really good at this time that he can afford another fight since he was not badly damage by his recent fight. But I think, Manny is already considering that option at bay. He is in fact preparing himself for political career as he is rumored to run for Congress in Sarangani Province. I just hope that with this decision he is doing a right decision. He may proved to be a good fighter on the ring but I really do not know how he will be in Congress.

Hope Manny will go on fighting while he is in his prime. Perhaps another fight for this year and will retire in a year or two. But I really do not recommend him to join politics. He can help the people in so many ways but not in politics. Politics is so dirty in our country. His aim to join the politics is to help people. He can help us in so many ways but not in politics.

I don't think it's time for Manny Pacquiao to retire. Not at this moment when he is at his prime and the most bankable boxer today. Doing that might disappoint a lot of people but for him personally, i think it depends on how he feels. I don't think he would retire. Not this year at least. It's not yet campaign time for politicians so i don't think he would. He may want to earn more for his campaign. Makes sense right?
