Is this the end for Newcastle?

After a horrific display against Liverpool, do you believe Newcastle can some how beat the drop? Even Alan Shearer seems to be lost on how to rescue Newcastle.

Well stormragetz, after that result, I think if you are a support of the toons, you would be suffer heartache. it would take a miracle for them to get out of this situation.

Well I am a supporter of the toons. I agree, it will take more than shear determination for Newcastle to be out of the mess.

Well I wish you all the best, as toons were one of the more exciting teams in the 90s, however they seem to have lost their steam a little. I think if they manage to stay up, they would be able to do well.

I think Newcastle have had it - unless of course they can manage to swap places with Hull. There's no doubt that Shearer was a great player and has all the passion in the world for the club, but wouldn't Newcastle have been better off recruiting an interim manager with experience of getting teams out of the relegation dogfight, rather than someone who's taking on his first job?
