This dream that I had about my father disgusted me! Me, in love with him? Never!

I had a weird dream about my father this morning. I dreamt that he was in love with me. He presented me with a box. And in this box was a ring. He wanted to marry me. He kissed my chest and he was moaning, about how much he wanted me. I was shocked and in disgust! This is the first time that I had a dream about him like this. And I hope that it is the last time too. I believe that he wanted to make out with me as well. But, it never got to that part, I am so glad that it didn't. My love for my father is a love only that a daughter will have, nothing beyond that point. I don't know where his feelings came from, but I hope that I never experience them again. To me it is sick and nasty to ever feel anything other than a father and daughter's love that is normal. Have you ever had a dream that disgusted you. it can be about anything that you remember. Please feel free to share. Thanks!

Hey, I'm sorry to say this; but this could be dangerous. I mean, this could spoil your relationship with your Dad. So please come off it asap. And btw, although it's sick and nasty, you need not really feel guilty whatsoever. C'mon, dreams are beyond our control. Besides Dads all over the world are quite sweet to their daughters. No Dad can be that a monster! And I hope I need not actually tell ya this. You must be obviously knowing your Dad well. So go on, and enjoy your sacred relation with your Dad and respect him all your life.

I don't know about that, but I know that dreams are opposite in the reality, so i think it means that your father loves you but not like as a couple but as a daughter, and that your father is not in to making out with you and your father doesn't want to marry you.. Well that's really sick to dream about. I hope that it's the last time that you will dream about things like that. Good luck happy earning!

Maybe it has an underlying meaning that you want him to give you more attention, maybe he is giving your Mam or other siblings for attention than he is giving you and this dream is a craving for attention. I have never had a dream like that about my Dad, there is not much love between my Dad in a father / daughter way never mind any other way.

It's just a dream. Most of our dreams doesn't happen in real life. But I must admit that there are some dreams that are disturbing and should better be not remembered when we are awaken from sleep.

Take it easy! girl. that's nothing with you, only a dream. But, every girl searchs her hubby in future, more or less, according to her father prototype in subconscious. I think. Maybe, father is a first man that girl meet in her life. Have you plan to find a boyfriend like your father's characteristic, who will take care of you frankly ?

I have had many dreams that scared me really bad. As for this kind I can't say that I have. If you care to analize the dream it could mean that you may meet a guy that is a lot like your father or reminds you of him. I'd rather thing this as an option rather than any other awful thoughts.

Hi cream97, Most dreams are meant the opposite so it just means that you are hankering for someone to be just like your father, most daughters are always fond of their dads and always try to find someone who is just like their dad. I must tell you this, one of my friends' dad used to be so slow in everything he does and one day she met some just like her dad in so many ways he could have been his son, it was so uncanny, she used to complain about her dad so much and one day she got annyoyed with her husband and shouted, you are just like my dad, I nearly choked over my cooffee I laughed so much. So don't worry about it, its more his nature that you love. Tamara

I have had all kinds of dreams: pleasant, nightmares, disturbing, disgusting, creative, inventive, ect. Dreams just happen and we can't control them. I wouldn't worry too much about them and would not waste my time trying to figure them out. But I do wish you pleasant dreams!

Hello my friend cream97 Ji, These are all unquenched desires left unattended in some corner of brain, emerge out. In fact, what as an Indian Lady, view and tie up is that at some point your father must have discussed with you and compared you as like your mother, at that moment, this idea must have taken birth, resulting in this sort of dream. Your father is as pure as you are. Just forget about it. Never discuss with your parents even. May God bless You and have a great time.

Whooaa! My friend too have similar dream as yours. But he didn't intent to marry her or gave her a ring. She said that in her dream, the two of them were lovers, but what she said was it was stated in her dream that he's her father but he doesn't look like him. I know it's kinda weird but she told me that she felt goosebumps all over her as she was relating the story to me. Her father left them when she was 9 years old and she never heard of him eversince.

Well, maybe you want a boyfriend that's awesome like your dad. Its not abnormal, but definately creepy. Its just a bad dream. Nothing more. Just try to ignore it. Or get a boyfriend that is so TOTALLY AWESOME AND SUPER HOT AND AMAZING IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE and you'll forget all about it :D

I think this syndrome might have an actual name to it: see Reverse Oedipal complex. Good luck overcoming it.
