How does it effect your life?

I'm wondering how music affects people's life. For me myself it is a very important part of my life. I play guitar, trying to play the songs I like from famous artists, but I also listen a lot to music. Most of the time I listen for about 2 hours not a day. Except while sleeping of course. I'm switching artist frequently and play songs according to my mood. Also I express myself with music by playing it loud, playing relaxing music, or some metal if I'm angry. How does it effect your life?

Music also affects my life. It plays a big role in my mood, and probably also in the work I deliver. If there wasn't any music in this world at all, I wonder how it would look like. I know for one that I get irritated very fast if I haven't listened to music in the past 24 hours.

Forgot to mention that I play the drums. I like playing the drums, because when I'm in an aggressive mood, I just hit the drums extra hard! Feels good, and and instant aggressive-mood-killer!

Yes playing the drums is indeed a very good way to lose the aggression, but when I'm feeling I get aggressive I listen to some metal/rock music and after 2 minutes I feel relaxed again. it's like pulling a string. The more aggressive you get (the further you pull) the more relaxed you get when you've lost it again (when you release the string).

I listen to music for my whole journey on the way into college every day, 90 mins both ways. I use this to practice techniques mentally for when i dont have a guitar with me. I play acoustic guitar to make some money, I like to play all types of music, but i mainly play accompaniment for irish music, (im irish :P), but I think music affects people in many different ways, and it depends on whether they play instruments aswell.

Yes I listen to music on my way to college aswell. That's about 80 minutes in total. Those would be very boring without music. It gives me something to live into while cycling and thus forgetting that it takes me 40 minutes to get there. I think you're right that it affects people a lot. It gives you a character and thus making you a person. The people I know are easily categorized (in the way of living and behaving) by checking what music they're listening to.
