E-mails that tell you when theres a new comment.....

I was just wondering, when I first joined mylot all I got in my e-mails were when friends started a new discussion. I never knew when someone made a comment unless I went back and looked in responded. A few days ago when I went to look at my e-mail I noticed that mylot was sending e-mails to me, letting me know that I had a new comment. This is great!
My question is.
Does everyone get new comment e-mailed to them or do you have to earn this?
Should I have always had this?

Well I just joined myLot, and I have gotten emails since the beginning. Maybe the myLot address was banned and filtered as spam at you're provider?

I might of been, so you could see all the new comments as well as the new discussion when they were made?

We always had this option with us. Probably you have not noticed that there is a tab in your preference called notification. If you go to the tab you will find there are various notification potion listed. You can checked them and unchecked then. When you checked some kind of notification then for that particular event you will receive notification in your inbox. I was receiving too many emails in my mailbox then I went to the notification tab and unchecked some event notification. Now there are less no of mails sent to my inbox every day.

This might have been what happened, because the other day I was in there and I might have pressed one that wasn't checked before without even realizing that I had at the time. thanks

Hi sweetashoney,welcome to mylot.You surely will have a fun time here.You can go the notifications and see if instant e mail notification is checked there for comments made to your responses.If it is checked,you will continue to have those notifications.

I've been a member for over 5 months now, but I was never notified when ever I received a comment. I only knew when one of my friends started a discussion but I never knew when they replied until now.
