I am almost positive that Mountain Dew is a Pepsi product. Pepsi has switched from using High Fructose Corn Syrup to using sugar. I havent tasted the new products because I am not a Pepsi fan. However, others have said there is definitely a difference. That is probably what you are tasting with your Mountain Dew!

They still use the corn syrup in the regular stuff. The new Throwback stuff is made with natural sugar though. I have not noticed the regular stuff tasting any different though.

You're right, lilybug - they're making the new "Throwback" pepsi products (made with sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup) in addition to the regular kind. It's not as though they've replaced the regular kind with this new kind.

I tasted the new throw back stuff and I hated it. I never would have thought it would make that much of a difference but it does in my opinion. I hope they don't do away with the regular mountain dew.

I agree with you, it definitely does taste different. I don't hate it, but I don't like it as much as the regular kind. And no, I don't think they're getting rid of the regular kind any time soon.

I do find there to be differences between regular mountain and mountain throwback. The taste for both does seem to be different. I like regular mountain dew, but throwback dosen't taste bad. It does have a different taste, but it's not bad. Some people may not like it, but I don't mind it.
