why people like to piercing their bodies?

I don't mind a girl have her ears pierced, that seems normal to me. Because they have to put the earrings on. But on their noses, and their tongues, or lips, that is unacceptable. Called me old - fashion, but I just won't like it that way. In addition, I don't see any beauty from it.
Yesterday, my niece had her nose pierced; and my sister was so pissed off. She said that she likes it, and that is her own issue. I don't see how pretty it gonna bring out from her. Do you like pierced your body parts?

I don't like people who pierce who thier bodies! Ears is normal and that doesn't bother me! I know people who have pierced noses and tongues! Yuck! I even know a kid who pierced his lip! Yuck! Alot of girls and women do their bellybuttons! Yuck! I even heard of people who pierce thier nipples! Yikes! Any other body piercing at isn't ears should be outlawed!

well its not...its been going on since VERY long! most of the piercings people do have been done for a long time. aztecs pierced and gauged most of their body parts as religious ceremonies. the prince albert originated with royalty. tongue piercings originated with mayans and aztecs. lip piercings originated in precolumbia and south america. nipples originated with indians in algeria. so they will never be outlawed. theyve been around longer than you! LONG LIVE PIERCINGS!!

i love my piercings. i have 10 all together and i love them all. im going to take them all out soon but i love them. i love to pierce. and i also love to get them. i dont get any on my face. or anywhere you can see them. the only one i have on my face is my septum piercing and i can flip it up into my nose. all of mine could be hidden. i love them. theres a few reasons why people pierce themselves. one to make their specific body parts look pretty. if you dont like your belly. get it pierced, wear cute jewelry. two its an easy form of body modification that heals and can always be taken out when you want. three some people are addicted to it. for me its a combination of all those. its a hobby. dont judge just because it may not be your cup of tea...it might be something she likes.

I only have my ears piercing, never thought of pther parts to have rings, I think they think it is trendy or some hobby? I don't know but my hubby says for those people is like that are trashy.

I have a few holes in my ears and one in my belly. I personally wouldn't get anymore then I already have, but for those who do, it doesn't bother me that much. Now, if they have piercings all over the face, then eww. But one here or there is ok. I'm not a fan of lip or eyebrow ones. Tongue pierced is not that big of a deal since you can hardly see it.
