After our children were born, and there are 5 of them. At one time there were 5 all under the age of 6, and they ALL slept with us! So we had two queen sized beds in our room. He slept with 2 or 3 and I slept with 2 or 3, we split the kids up, one night he would have 3, me 2 the other night, him 2, me 3. The kids became older and started sleeping in their own beds and in their own rooms, hubby and I were finally able to have our own room and 1 bed! We came to find out we don't like sleeping together!! I'm a blanket hogg according to him, he's a blanket hogg according to me. He snores like a freight train, I scream (seriously, yeah I do, for some odd reason I will sit up in the bed and scream like a mad woman, lay back down and go to sleep :O). So we went to seperate beds again. And we LOVE it! How many others do this? The kids now are 21 to 15 so 2 of them have grown up and moved out, so, guess what now? He has a room of his own, I have a room of my own. No more snoring, no more screaming. It works perfectly for us.

many persons don'y sleep in one bed or in one room. not just you. if one person don't want to sleep together, you will don't stop it. so that's all right. and don't think a lot about it.

this is good to know...although I don't think it's as common here in the US as it may be other places. I think it's silly to be crowded in one bed when you have the space to be in two seperate beds or rooms.

I think when you are young that you want someone to sleep with and cuddle up to at night. When I started having hot flashes he went to the other bedroom because I would turn on the fan to cool off. I thought it would depress me but the truth is I loved having the bed to myself. After awhile he wanted to get back in bed with me but I did not want him to. It was not because I was mad but because I wanted to hog the bed to myself. Long story short we ended breaking up. I do not know if sleeping in different rooms contributed to the breakup. But I do know that I am not sure if I want to give up all that space ever again.
