We have a bath scrub in our bathroom but I don't use it. I prefer using soap - a very mild one at that (either Dove or Olay). I heard that soap is enough to exfoliate our skin and we don't need to scrub :) Do you use a bath scrub when you soap yourself? Do you prefer mild soap like Dove or Olay?

Hi there. Whenever I take a bath, my bath will not be complete without scrubbing my body. I don't know why but I remember since we were little my mom always bathe us using scrub so until when I grow up, we use scrub as well. We have three kinds of scrub in the bathroom. First, we have a foamy like scrub. Second, we have this cloth like that is quite long, a rectangular shape. We saw it once in a spa and we like it, so I take down of it's brand then we buy it for our personal use. Third one is the stone scrub, I like it so much, especially on weekends I like to scrub my whole body with that soft stone scrub, which was given to me by my mom. We have the same stone scrub at our house. But since I got married, she gave me one of those stone scrub. I feel clean every time I use those scrub when taking a bath. I use the second scrub of mine, the cloth like to my back, I use it there because I don't get to scrub my back with my stone. But when my husband and me takes bath together, he do the scrubbing of my back. Then after that, that is the time I use my foamy like scrub, like a finishing touch. I use also, some soap, but usually we use the bath shower gel most of the times.

Does that mean you scrub three times? Isn't that too much? Don't you hurt yourself?

Sometimes I scrub three times when going to bathe. But it is just a mild scrub and different part of the body that I scrub. The stone scrub is for my whole body, excluded my back. The cloth like scrub is for my back and my finale is the soft foamy scrub. I don't think I hurt myself of doing those scrubs. I usually have time on weekends to do the full scrubbing when I go bathing, but when week days, i only used my foamy scrub. ;o)

I like using those poofy sponges with liquid soap. Bar soaps make me have to scrub harder when cleaning the bath tub, so I stay away from those.

What's the difference between bar soaps and liquid soap? I thought liquid soaps were harder to clean because they are thicker and bar soaps are generally "harsher" so I thought they actually help in cleaning...

Liquid soap doesn't leave any soap scum on the dish holding area. I use to use bar soap growing up and there is a huge difference in the clean up now. A few months ago, we ran out of liquid and we had to use some bar soap that we always keep on hand for guests, and by the end of the week I was like...oh that is why we use liquid! Lol... it was dove soap too by the way. I love dove and olay, but just not in the solid form. Also, I love using the Puff Sponges! Makes my skin silky smooth! But not for everyone. Try it, you just might like it =)

I also prefer soap... but once a week i use the scrub just to remove the excess dirt or dry skin that the soap cannot get... and make me feel very fresh too... i would use the scrub everyday... but i know that doing that might cause more harm than good to my skin...

I usually scrub at least once a week. It has become a habit of mine. I use loofah for scrubbing. It is very soft on the skin. For the soap, I use safeguard and at times dove since my wife uses dove. So when I ran out of soap, I often use her soap.

loofah is hard when it's new, isn't it? Do you use it when it's new or do you soak it overnight to make it softer before you use it for the first time? Do you put the soap on the loofah, or do you put the soap on your skin?

I use Pears. We do have a bath scrub in our bathroom, but I am the only person who uses it. I use it to clean my feet. I don't use it for anything else. Once the scrub got stuck in my silver toe ring and broke it. I am careful after that.

Kojic Acid soap sounds very harsh. Doesn't it hurt when you scrub it?

I do not use bath scrub. I use gentle soaps like Dove or Pears. Scribing our skin will make it rough and it will lose its shiny appearance. Using soap alone to the skin is more than enough.
