How long could you go in shock when you find out you're somehow telepathic?

When you suddenly realize you heard your best friend talking, you answered and then suddenly you were wrong. He wasn't talking, he was just thinking of something he wanted to tell. But it's too late because you already both knew what was happening and then you go in shock.
How long would you be in shock? Would you feel weird? Would you somehow feel "Oh no! So much for being a total freak!"?
How would you explain it to your best friend and even to yourself what happened?

It can happen in a close relationship commonly.More times,my wife starts to say something and I can guess it before and reply to it.I don't think it is telepathy but getting used to our relationships and guess working. If it should be telepathy, then it should work with strangers too.Cheers!

Oh my, that has happened to me so many times but other people think I've said something and I've only thought it. After a while I got used to it but it still is a little unnerving every so often especially when My partner and I think the exact same thing at the exact same time and say it out loud. It's funny though. Sometimes you just have to roll with it. And that works out well.
