How to send money to Dad? He just won't take it...

I'm in a decent paying job for the last 2 years, and I really want to contribute to my parents lives by sending some money home. But my big ego daddy just won't take anything from me. I've tried to pay for airline tickets and mobile bills, but the money always comes back to my bank account. I told him I'll block receiving money from your account, but he won't stop repaying. Any ideas anyone??

If he doesen't "want your money" is there something else you could do to show him how thankful you are? Maybe spending time with him. Maybe going out for a day and doing something special with him? Just a few ideas.

Maybe you could start a joint savings account for them, kind of like a trust fund for their retirement. That way, if they ever need it, the money will be there. And if not, you will have a nest egg if you ever need it too.

In stead of sending money why don't you send him things that he might enjoy. Like movies, cds, old records. It's the thought that counts. If he's not going to take money he'll def. take a gift if it's from the heart.
