Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection

My husband recently purchased Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for me to play on the Xbox 360. I have always been a huge fan of Sonic, so he thought it was the perfect gift for me. Last night, I finally had the chance to play it for a little while. The first game I played was the original Sonic. It was such a blast to travel down memory lane while playing! It was amazing how quickly I remembered exactly where I needed to jump to get all of the rings and where the bad guys would be! I also played Sonic 3D. It was my first time ever playing that particular version of Sonic. It took me a minute to figure out exactly what I was supposed to do, but once I did, I took off! I was doing great until I met up with the first boss. Even though it is called 3D, it is nothing like the 3D games of today! It was so frustrating trying to control Sonic to kill that boss! I finally gave up. I am sure I will get back to that game and beat the whole thing some day soon. It just amazes me how far we have come from the orginal Sonic to today's video games. In some ways, it also amazes me that the original Sonic can still be so much fun! What was your favorite Sonic game? Have you recently played any of the Sonic's of years past?
