Shoulder to cry on - whenever i had problems aside from my family i talk to my friends
Trust - telling secrets and plans
Partner - spending time with her/him and treat him/her as a partner
Value - understands and accept his/her personality

For me trust, honesty and communication are key to any relationship.Being supportive and caring to your friends needs it should be on equal ground. Also knowing your friends will accept you no matter what and always be there too listen to you vent or talk about your problems.Just the simple act of being there is good in itself. All these things mentioned here are important to friendships.

You are right..trust, patient to listen somebody, to be there when somebody need you, honestity, this is very important, to be honest in all what you make and say.
To have a good friends is so good for soul, sometimes only friendship can save the world.

I think the most vital part of a true friendship is that persons' ability to be there when someone needs them. Not just a shoulder to cry on but someone to laugh with and spend time with when things are up as well as down.
My friend Randy is there for me regardless of what the circumstances are. He makes me laugh when I'm feeling down, but he also laughs with me during the good times

A true and honest friendship with another has a lot to do with trust, understanding, caring and love. Without those factors, there isn't much of a friendship. I have some wonderful friends here on mylot and in person but the in person friends are at least 4 or 5 hours away from me because we moved away due to hubby being in the army. Although hubby is retired, we didn't want to move back to our home town so we choose a different state but we still keep in touch with our friends from back home and visit every now and then.

For me it is trust....when you trust your friend, then nothing will go wrong along the way since you can always sort things out. Also, if you have trust, then naturally you will have respect and confidence to be able to go through things whether good or bad.

they are with me all the time, be it a good time or a bad time. I never used my friend's shoulder to cry on but sharing secrets and enjoying good times with them with sharing my sad part of my life are something which I o with my friends. I can't choose one to be step ahead with others. So, I see every thing which I do with them is vital for me.
