Of spending time here on MyLot, both responding as well as starting discussions. This time last year, I was reaching payout of $10 every month! Then in the confusion of moving (twice!), starting a new job and going back to school, I realized that I missed my MyLot buddies! So I'm back, especially since I can't job search too long or my head will explode! So who remembers me (and missed me)?

I DO, I DO, I DO!!! I still loves ya, scorp. I haven't been as active lately either. With lambing out the bulk of my sheep flock within a month (what was I thinking??!) and now caring for them with their babies. There are lambs everywhere out there! WOW! I think I currently have somewhere in the neighbourhood of 250 lambs. It is springtime now and pasture is growing rapidly, so I have begun fixing fences in preparation for that use as well now. My neighbour, who used to have a large flock of sheep, but depopulated to semi retire and become a Township Counsellor, has me bring over 12 sheep to graze around his barnyards each year, as it is too difficult to mow. And I think he just likes having some around, too. He called yesterday and notified me that he has the electric fence all up and running and I can bring them over anytime now. So, I have to pick out a dozen that are not currently raising lambs to put there until fall. Then, the job of loading them in the trailer and driving over to drop them off is always fun, too. lol. I haven't even had time to go root around in my gardens yet. I have to clear the asparagus patch for the new growth that I know is under all that old growth and grass overgrowth from last year. But it protects it over winter. But I can see from my front window that the daffodils have sprung and all my perrennials are beginning to regrow for the year. So, weeding must be done and winter debris removal. As well as some pruning of the wegeilias, too. I have to go and look at my apple and pear tree I bought and lovingly planted last year, and watered faithfully, to see if they survived our winter or not. I took a chance on buying them, even though the Nursery told me that since I don't have much shelter for them, unless they were placed just right the winter would ravage them and they wouldn't survive. But, if they survived this winter, they should be sturdy enough to make it here as I have begun a small Western tree line of cedars.

I know you love me Annie--I love you too! I've missed you (and nearly everyone else) so much, but I've grown a lot in the last year! I'm hoping that I can take some of my experiences and translate them into some great discussion topics! Sounds like you're quite busy now...I'd love to see a picture or two of your flock, your flowers..I miss gardening! I miss my house (the gardens I was beginning to work on). Take care and don't work too hard!

My Perennial Garden..side view - In order L-R...the Lupins, Poppys & Red Wegelias, are out in bloom. Day Lily's are in front on the left, and a White French Lilac is in the foreground on the right.

I planted all of these myself.
Here is a side view, closeup of half of my perennial garden I added to this property when we bought it. Alot of love, sweat, watering and digging went into it.

Thanks for the BR, sweetie! For an update, the Pear tree has survived, but this year it got some slugs on it of some kind and the leaves are all brownish from it. Never mind the drought we are suffering here in Ontario this year, with not enough snow over winter, then not enough rain (if any) in spring, then not enough rain through summer (we went 3 weeks without a DROP!). Our hay crops that we all need to feed our livestock is very, very short. The yields on my fields were only 50% of normal due to lack of rain. It didn't grow tall enough, but came to a head, so it had to be cut. Now we were hoping for more rain to grow the 2nd cut, to make up for the lack of 1st cut, but it has rained ONCE, so I don't think we will get any 2nd cut. I will have to cut my flock down, cull hard, in hopes of having enough hay to make it through winter. Instead of keeping any ewe lambs this year as replacements to increase the flock, I think I will have to sell them.

Hi scorpiobabes, we have to stay away from mylot temporary some time. This is mostly due to certain personal affairs in our real life, like to further our study, migration, illness and etc. Hopefully you will keep on participating in the mylot activities here during your spare time and make some side income here. I have lesser time to type posts here daily at the moment, for I don’t have considerable time to log in here. I would feel content if I could reach my minimum payout here by every other month We are not in the friends list of each other. I come across your username in one of my discussions. I’m used to pick interesting topic from every responder occurring in my discussions. Yeah, I find your response in one of my discussions about cellphone posted a month back. I then pick this interesting topic and share my feeling here. Thanks for enlightening my topic Wish you all the best and happy posting!

I've had an awful lot go on in my life over the last 2 or 3 years (since I became a member), but specifically over the last year. I'm now working again, and attending school--both of which have incredible demands on my time. I have seen some of my favorite friends begin to post discussions again, and I'll try to read them, but more often than not I'm too busy to respond. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my discussion and happy myLotting!
