And mom does it again!

My son was rushing to get out the door this morning and he mentioned that there was no one else out at the stop. Dumb mommy strikes again. His school has a 2 hour late start again. I am not used to this school starting late business, but they do it once a month pretty much. Have you had a mommy moment yet this week?

I don't think I've had one of those mommy moments yet this week. Though I did have a moment last month when I didn't pay enough attention to the Girl Scout schedule and we showed up at a meeting over Spring Break and no one was there Oh well the meeting is only 5 minutes away from home so it's not like I was going very far.

With Mother's Day coming up I think you are excused. I'm not a mommy, but I have a lot of 'Amber' moments. Like looking for my keys when I'm holding them in my hand. Or leaving my wallet in the car when I'm at the checkout counter ready to pay for my groceries...

I did the thing with my keys the other day. They were in my pocket.

Well, at least you were early. That is much better than being late. I get to work before my two youngest kids are even up. I usually text my daughter, who is 15, each morning to be sure she is awake and getting the 9 year old up. Yesterday I forgot to check on them until about 5 minutes before the bus was to arrive. And yes it was the day they decided to get up LATE. I think that is probably not my only MOMMY moment for the week. But the one that sticks out.

I am glad I can be home in the mornings when he needs to get ready for school. I don't think I could really trust him to get ready on his own. The bus stop is right in front of the neighbors house, so at least he does not have to walk a long way to get to the bus. He RUNS out the door when the bus is down the block almost every day.
