I ate a black rice mixed with vegetables and salmon with mango sauce. You can see the picture attached. I love it so much but I really don't know how to cook it. I ate a restaurant in our country. Does anyone try it? If so, what do you think about it? And which country has available black rice? Thanks!

I never knew black rice existed until about a year ago! I work with several Chinese people. Sometimes they will bring in some traditional Chinese foods that they have made. One of my coworkers brought in a treat for us one day. I am not really sure what to call them. They were like dumplings, or at least looked like dumplings. In the middle was a black almost doughy filling. It was made from black rice. They were a little bit sweet, but not too much. Quite delicious! I dont know how to cook anything with black rice. I would suggest looking through a traditional Chinese cookbook. I do know that you can purchase black rice in the US. Your best bet at finding it would be looking at an Asian market or a specialty store. Good luck!

I was able to buy black rice at Shopwise,I forgot the name or variety of the rice. You have to soak it for 30 mins before you boil it till the grains fell soft, similar to what you eat everyday, that is if you eat rice regularly. Sometimes I wash and boil it using coconut milk till the grains are tender.
