Some safety measures we can take to avoid swine flu spread to others. 1. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. 2. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 3. Stay inside home if you are sick. 4. Wash hands often. 5. Cover your mouth or nose with tissue/handkerchief when coughing or sneezing and most important is stay away from large gatherings these days.

I think that is what we need to do all the time. I think if we stayed heathy and made good choices in regards to what we ate then we would avoid many illnesses, not just the swine flu. Thanks for the great tips.

Sorry to sound harsh but how on earth can a tip be: stay healthy? You don't have enough influence on your health to give that as a tip i'd say. Advising people to stay away from crowded places only make them panicky instead of wary for the flu. Neither would I advice washing hands with antiseptics regularly as doing this too frequently will actually damage the protective layer of your skin. Overall the advices you give are not only aimed at the prevention of getting swine flu. Btw, instead of staying at home you could better see a doctor if your body temperature stays above 38.5 degrees Celsius for approximately 3 or 4 days in combination with cough, colds and returning from countries where an outbreak has occurred.
