I think you should wait and watch what happens, but in between if you would get any opporturnity u should go for it.

I cannot tell you what to do, but I can sympathize with you and hope that all turns out well. This sort of thing has happened at a few places where I have worked in the past and personally, I have always gone out and tried to find another job. Whether that was the best thing to do or not I do not know, but I am not a person who is happy to have things up in the air, so I wanted to have more control even if it resulted in having to start over as you say. In some cases I learned from coworkers who stayed on that they got better offers by waiting and/or money at the end as severance pay, but in other cases they got nothing. It is like gambling, and I do not like gambling, so I did not wait around to see what was going to happen. Good luck.

I'm sorry to hear that bad news. But i believe that you and your team had done the best you can. I think you should preparing your plan B. Plan B which mean finding another job if your current company can't secure your job. I know that it's hard to find a new job in such economic situation. But it's better to try than doing nothing. You should ask your company management for making sure about your all future. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

If your company gave you the news and it's not a rumor, they must have some sort of process to help workers who lose their job. Ask if you will be offered another job within the company, or if they will provide job training. Will there be any job loss benefits if you need to look for another job? Since you're getting this much notice, you're in a better position than most people. Take advantage of any free training offered. And make sure you continue to do your job to the best of your ability. I know it helps to vent, but do it in private and be careful who you talk to. If the company's management must eliminate jobs, they'll eliminate poor workers or workers with bad attitudes first. And if you must find a job in a different company, remain pleasant and don't bad-mouth your company. Let it be known that you accept what's happening and you're making the best of it. Perhaps this is the time to think of a career change. Often we stay with a company we're comfortable with because of pay or benefits. If you have a supportive family or group of friends, maybe you can find a job that will challenge you, or even create your own job. You're lucky you have the time to think and research.
