Which? Laptop or desktop?

If you were goung to purchase a (good) used computer, would you choose a desktp or laptop model? To be used as your only personal computer. What would be the reasons for your choice? ( I'd love to buy new one, but the cost is prohibitive at the moment, Not an option . )

I've been thinking for awhile and when my finances are looking a bit better for me I would love to invest in a LapTop, I've used one and they are so neat...That and like the first poster said it's portable and you can sit on your couch or chair and use it anywhere....
