smtimes i think about religion and it strikes me shuld we be praying to god whom we dont have any proof of exsistence ..........shouldnt we pray to our parents who have given us birth and have raised us our entire childhood and have done and sacrificed so much for us..........

Dear friend, In my opinion I hope God has own dignity and comparing with God is really something far away. There are good and bad qualities in every humans even in every parents. I hope God is someone who has no bad qualities. May be we humans still have along way to go to compare God to human.

In Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism, they consider parents as equivalents of god. Matru Devo bhava, Pitru Devo bhava, Gurur Devo Bhava. Mother comes first in the heirarchy of Importance. She conceived us, carried us in her womb safely till delivery, then she took care of us till we are grown up and take care of us ourselves. all the tasks that god does, she did to us. Second in importance is Father. He is the also one who was responsible for our being here. Once you are born, he takes care by providing protection - to you as a child and the child's mother. He works hard to provide his family with food and other comforts. he does all that god does. then comes The Master or Teacher. He gives education, knowledge, skills that will make you fit to face the world. He teaches you to differentiate between good and bad. he does all that god does. On earth, we have to consider our parents and teachers as god. if they are bad examples, then one should use one's commonsense to arrive at a decision.

certainly "yes". Not to mention all other human beings too! The bible tells us that God created men to his own image. Therefore, when you look at someone, you realy are looking to the face of God.Amen.
