I Placed in the Anthology Contest!!

I tied for 3rd place in the "Present" Accentuate Writers Anthology contest! I was so suprised. This is the fourth time I've entered a contest there, and the first time I've placed! I'm so excited! My story will be published in an upcoming anthology, my name listed as an author in the book, and sold in real bookstores! The winners for the "Future" contest will be named tonight. I have a story in for that one, but doubt I'll place. I'm just happy to finally have something win! Anybody else here want to share about winning their first contest or getting published the first time?

I have a few pieces published on Associated Content for performance bonus and I received up front payment on one news item. Is the writers contest you mention online if so can you send me a link?

I'm published in a couple of anthologies from poetry.com, I know some people think its cheesy but I was excited when they picked me. It helped to start my confidence in writing.

I put one poem with them before I found out what they were all about. I was excited at first too. It is a good feeling.

WOW! This is great. It always feels good to win something especially when you have had to put forth some effort to enter yourself. This is really good keep writing and maybe one day you will be rich and famous.

Thank you so much. It does feel good! I had almost given up on ever winning anything. I knew people liked my stories, cause they told me so, but thought maybe I'd never been good enough for publication. It was great to place, even third!

Thank you. I will keep writing. I love it too much to quit. I have way too many blogs just for my writing...lol, not to mention the competitions I enter,and the places I send things to.
