Your Dad is cooler or your Mom is cooler?

Hello all,
I am not sure if my topic sound right or not. What i mean is, in some family, the dad is more easy to get close to, they are fun to talk to, they are easy going. But in some family, Mom is the one be the host, they welcome your friend, takes care of the meal. cook for you and your friend, while daddy is just sitting their reading his new paper. He is the cooler guy.
In my family, my friends told me that my dad is the cooler guys as my mom have big smile on her face when she saw me and my friends. My dad is kind of, "yeah, hi, hello, make yourself at home" then no more words. 
What about you? Is it the same in your family? Or maybe, you are the coolest guy!

My dad is definitely cooler than my mom cause my dad loves to explore things, adventurous while my mom just wants to stay home and do nothing.

Hi Iceblade,
Thanks for responding my discussion. You know what, when i was younger, i mean in middle school, i think my dad is strict. Now i am working, i found he is very cool sometime, he enjoys the new things that i told him, and he is willing to learn new things, and my dad is actually more understanding.
