Dogs have the ability to get pregnant at their first heat which occurs around 6 months of age. But it is not recommended to allow that to happen as the dog is still immature both physically and mentally. They can continue getting pregnant as long as they are still having their heats which occur about every 6 months from then on and last up to 3 weeks. If I remember correctly, the best time for breeding is in the first week of the heat.

They are able to concieve during their first heat. By AKC guidelines you should not breed a dog before the age of 2. I'm not a breeder but those are the things that have been told to me by the breeders I have talked to when I was looking for the perfect breeder to buy my husky from.

The earliest is six months, but some females come into heat a little earlier, so if you are worried about your dog getting pregnant by some r*ndy male dog in the area, and she is around six months, you had better take her to the vet and get her spaded. If you want to have puppies, well you better make sure only the appropriate male dogs are around so that yuo do not have to worry.

I'm not really sure. My dog got preggy on her 3rd year. I don't about others.
