Reading Manga is fun and there are manga artists who inspire us! We can say that they are best in drawing(style of characters, background etc.)and in the plot of the story. So who's your fave mangaka? Mine is CLAMP(creator of CCS,Tsubasa,X/1999 and etc.) and Ozamu Tezuka(father of the modern manga; creator of Black Jack, Astroboy and etc.)^_^

my favorite mangaka as of now is Nakahara Aya. She made Lovely Complex, Ringo Nikki, and Seishun no Tamago. I love her art and story telling.

I do agree that reading manga is fun, and makes me relax. For me, I would say that my favourite is Rumiko Takahashi & Yoshiki Nakamura. For the former, she is the manga artist of Maisson Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2 & Inuyasha. Her mangas are very funny and makes me laugh a lot. As for Yoshiki Nakamura, she is the manga artist of Skip Beat. I like the plot, storyline and character design of Skip Beat.

Yes, Rumiko Takahashi's mangas are really very funny... I guess not many know Yoshiki Nakamura. I also don't know about her, until I had seen and watch Skip Beat. I have checked through her profile for her earlier mangas, but I had never heard of any of her earlier manga titles at all.

CLAMP CLAMP CLAMP, I am a CLAMP fan too. I have been reading their manga since the first series. Their style changes. From pure more girlish glorious style to simpler, more boyish type. I like their plots as well as the graphics. Hope X can continues..... I used to cannot bear their manga being anime"ka" as the characters can hardly take up the appearance of the originals. Not to mention the air. I've read a lot of other mangas. But to say to be the fan of the artist. CLAMP is the only one.

If talk about the favorite manga artist of mine, first is Wataru Yoshizumi, her major works includes Mintna Bokura, Marmalade Boy (has anime and OVA), Handsome Na Kanoji (has OVA), etc. her drawing style is clear and simply, you will feel very comfortable during the reading; another one is Yoshihiro Togashi, his major works was famous, even if he always like to drag text: Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter X Hunter (it is a pity for this works still series slowly, any will be stopped suddenly). These two both have anime (TV and OVA version), so I want to recommend another work of him: Level E, it was called the most eminent works of Yoshihiro Togashi, you can strat to know why he is looked as an unusual manga artist.

My most favorite is Urasawa Naoki [Monster, 20th Century Boys, Pluto, etc.] I love the way he plot his story and his manga is so addictive! Some people said that the drawing is not so good but I think that his art is great and simple. If you look into the character he create, you'll see that each of his character is different even if some character have the same pattern on their face. Still the greatest part of his work is story line. Another one is Toboso Yana [Black Butler] Her drawing is okay for me and I really love the way she draw "Demon's Smile". Now I'm really addicted to Black Butler but I don't know why. Now she change Black Butler to something deep and dark, and I love that.

Either Tsutomu Nihei, famous for things like BLAME! and NOiSE. I suppose he's also responsible for that Wolverine: Snikt, thing. i haven't read it so I don't know if it's any good. But Nihei's tied with Kenjiro Hata the author/artist of Hayate no Gotoku aka Hayate the Combat Butler. I suppose I'll admit to liking some of PEACH-PIT's stuff, if not for the curveballs they tend to throw at you.

Definitely Hoshino Katsura. I fell in love with her style the first time I saw her manga "D.Gray-man". With time her style developed and became even more awesome and inspiring. I also love Yoneda Kou's works. Her yaoi mangas are full of emotions, every time I read "Doushitemo Furetakunai" I can feel my hear beating faster.

CLAMP may be the most popular mangaka out there, but I don't like the way they draw their character. They are only popular because of xxholic, chobits and Tsubasa chronicles. As for me, my favorite mangaka is Tsugano Gaku (he is the mangaka of haruhi suzumiya), the golden pair Aoki Yuuya and Ayamine Rando (getbackers), Tahiko Kimura (Seto no hanayome) and of course Gosho aoyama (Detective Conan). Tezuka Osamu is also worth mentioning since he started it all :).
