I've been exclusively breastfeeding now foralmost 3 weeks and I've been eating a lot because they say u need 500 calories more a day, but eating like this I'll never loose weight, so how does it go? I'm thinking maybe the whole 500 calorie thing Is just a wives tale and I should eat normally, but I don't know I need your help on the mylotter moms!

The best thing you can do is pay attention to your body! Your body will let you know when you are hungry. That is the ONLY time you should eat! Dont eat extra because you think you are supposed to eat more calories. Before justifying eating that piece of cake after your large dinner because you need extra calories, think about what you are doing. There are many things that will contain 500 calories alone! The best thing you can do is to make sure you eat healthy. Now you are eating for your own health and the health of your baby! If ever there was a reason to stay healthy, it is so that your baby will stay healthy also. If you are concerned about your weight the best thing you can do is talk to your doctor. Your doctor can help you decide what is the best calorie range for you. Your doctor can also give you more information on getting your body back to normal after having your baby! Good luck losing that baby weight. Congrats on the birth of your child!

It seems like everyone will tell you something different! If you listened to whate everyone said, you probably would starve! Each mommy and each baby is different. So if it works for you, go for it! Dont worry too much about what other people say. There are tons of myths and old wive's tales out there!
