How to search for interests

Is there a way to searchto see if a particular interest is already started? I don't like having to go through all the interests in a particular category (especially as some categories have hundreds of interests). Wen I use the search bar at the top I get discussions, not interests.

When you use the searchbar you get discussions and under each title it tells you in which interest the discussion has been started.
You can also go to the 'interests' tab above this discussion and search there to make sure that the interest you are looking for is already there.
