im trying to install my DSL but it's telling me that my network adapter has malfunctioned, but i don't have any devices in network adapters except for ethernet controller so what can i do to get tcp/ip bound to my modem because i don't know what im doing

Sounds like your network card is not setup corretly or maybe the drivers are not setup correctly.
