so, i wonder what will happen next with this family? now that jon 'supposedly' ventured from the happy path? do you think they will still be on tv? will they stop getting all those millions of freebies? hmmmm... to be honest, i am not suprised that he has gone elsewhere. i find her comments to him so demeaning and annoying. i stopped watching that show a long time ago. thoughts? i am curious to hear what other mylotters have to say!!

I have read an article suggesting that maybe all rumors and such has just been a media trick to get viewers to tune into the new season. This could be possible becasue it has been done. America sadly enough loves drama and if thats whats needed to keep viewers of an ongoing television show i guess that could be resorted to.Im surprised the show is still on actually after a while you know whats going to happena dn how cute the kids will always look. reason being why they would present a new task in the task within Jon and Kates marriage. Although I would not be surprised if Jon had really cheated being that he would probably get more attention from any other woman than the criticism that he gets from kate, the way she talks to him like he is her ninth child. despite my feeling on the lacking excitment of this show and the relationship bewteen the parents, I do admit I STILL watch the darn show.

First, I don't know if he cheated, and I don't want to pass judgment on that matter. And I used to think Kate had to be that way to maintain such a chaotic household. But the way she is would drive me nuts. I saw the season finale of last season and he said he was not happy with continuing the show, and he would like to think about quitting it. She said she was happy with it and she wanted to continue. I think she is liking the limelight a little much. Maybe she is tired of being a homemaker, I don't know. But she doesn't seem to realize how grating she is. If he cheated, there really is no excuse. But boy, if there was a good excuse, I think Kate would be it. The show returns May 25th, and I read that this issue would be addressed this coming season. I understand them making money with the show. When it started they had hardly anything. And can you imagine trying to put 8 kids through college? But I would think they would have saved enough money now to be set up for a while if they invested wisely.

They should end the show for the sake of the family if anything.

I agree. I really hate to say it, but I think Kate has let the attention go to her head.

Well, I watched the season premiere tonight. Jon swears he didn't cheat, that he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. From what he said, how he's acting (leaving his family a lot), and the sporty car he arrived at the birthday party in, I think he's having a mid-life crisis a tad early. (Maybe 8 kids will do that to a man.) While I do get tired of hearing Kate b*tch, Jon choose her and had 8 kids with her... If they do divorce, my heart breaks for the kids! I wondered if all the scandal had been started to boost ratings. It is, afterall, a timely coincidence. (TLC had a 3-day Jon and Kate marathon this weekend.) However, at the birthday party, one of the girls said to Jon, "Please don't go away anymore, Daddy." She said it with such sadness that it made me think this is more than a publicity stunt. Whatever happens, I do with the best for all involved.

I suppose there is a big announcement that will be made on their show tomorrow night. I am assuming that announcement is that they are going to be separated or filing for divorce. What I think they need to do is to stop the show and start working on putting their family back together. I am not surprised that Jon has gone on to greener pastures but I bet that Kate has as well. This is a train wreck that is hard for me to watch because it is the disintegration of a family. A family who (thanks to television and voyeuristic tendencies of the American public) have the financial resources to fix their family and make it right. But alas, greed and an overinflated opinion of self worth will win out over what is best for the family.

From what I've seen of the show, there seems to be very little love and affection between Jon and Kate. True, this might be a result of having to watch over eight little ones, but still...when you see them sitting on the couch and narrating what's going on in the show, it just appears that there's a lot of tension between them. I agree about her comments to him--they're totally uncalled for. Basically, I'm hoping that they pull the plug on the show. People can only take so much of the type of snarky bickering that they do 24/7.

to be honest I'm suprised that show is still on the air. I feel like you do and I think she's really mean to him. I think they'll still get the freebies but I don't for see that show staying on the air to much longer. Even if she was cruel to him that's no reason to be unfaithful but I'm not sure he was really unfaithful but just went out and had his picture taking by someone and then the rumors began. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
