What is the Key to a good relationship?

Well for me i think you should accept the reality, reality that the other person have her own personality a lot different than yours, she have her own opinion, beliefs and attitudes and no matter how you think you have a lot of similarities still both of you will have a different angle of perspective, this differences in a person what makes them unique, respect that uniqueness and don't ever try to change that to conform to you. Just like puzzle pieces, not all have straight edges, all have different curves in order to fit to other pieces. So find someone that fits you or someone that fills what you lack. In loving someone, you love the person not only because of her good qualities but loving her in spite of having those bad qualities. Just like hubby and I, been married for 9yrs.now, the moment i marry him i know for a fact that i marry him together with all his flaws. We also have our discussions and misunderstanding but loving and accepting each others mistakes and weaknesses make the relationship strong as you grow together. Also don't forget to establish friendship, your partner is your friend, you do things for her without waiting something in return. And also pray, ask God for someone he made perfectly for you.
