Everytime I have dinner with my cousin, he always holding a cigarette, and a beer. I just wonder how healthy his lifestyle. The thing really bothers me is that he even smoke while we talk, that I felt like I been second - hand smoking. I just flat out with him, he better stop smoking while we talk and having dinner. Don't you hate to be a second - hand smoker?

yes, most of the time I hate it but luckiley there is no one in our house who smokes. I guess, the production of cigeratte must be banned but then govt makes the maximum revenue from it so, it is difficult for them to have a ban on it!

Yes, I know what you mean. My husband is also a heavy smoker and he must smoke after every meal. Now I noticed he even smoke when he's not eating anything. Just after drinking a glass of water makes him crave for the smoking. He used to smoke in front of me while we were talking, and smoke while we were still at the dining table. During our earlier years of marriage, I didn't know how to tell of my discomfort to him without putting him off emotionally. I kept the discomfort for many years, and after that I couldn't tolerate it anymore. Whenever he smoked in front of me, I would cough as loud as I could and show him that I was choking because of his smoking. I told him I couldn't breathe and asked him to go away from me when he wanted to smoke. But if he wanted me to die quick and see me suffer, just go ahead and ignore my request. After so many times seeing me choking, he understood what I wanted and now he no longer smokes in front of me. It is a relief to finally being respected as a person who doesn't smoke. Maybe you can try my approach, who knows it might work for you as well?

I am so thankful that in Pennsylvania they have recently banned smoking in restaurants and most bars. There are still some privately owned bars/clubs that are allowed to have smokers and that really annoys me. You're right, it's not fair to those of us who don't smoke. Not only do I hate inhaling the smoke, I also hate that it makes my hair and clothes STINK. I just wish everyone would ban smoking. It would be better for everyone's health.

Hi there! Well, I got annoyed when someone smoke in my face or just near me. I go away from those smokers because I will got secondhand smoke. Secondhand smoke contains 200% more nicotine. Means that it brings more danger to others who inhaled the smoke than the smoker itself. When I have visitors who are smoking, I do not let them enter the house unless they finish smoking. This is my response, happy mylotting and have a nice day!
