Jesus Says Stay Online

Some say they pray 3 times a day. Others pray daily. These are admirable. Jesus taught us a simple prayer that centers around God and his kingdom. Nothing else. He never said how often we should pray, except that somewhere else in the bible it says we should pray without stopping. But he did say something that should give us a vital hint on prayer: He said "I and the Father are one." When you're one with your dad, you just go the fridge and get what you want. No need to ask him each time. Right? There was a time when Jesus said, "Thanks, Dad, because I know you already heard my prayer!" But that time, he didn't really pray verbally. What's the secret? More than teaching us to pray verbally, Jesus is really introducing us to a higher level of spiritual communication--intimacy. Being one with God. In Internet language, God wants us to stay online with Him. He said, "If you talk to a mountain and tell it to 'get lost,' it would!" There was no mention of praying to God for the mountain to be removed--which we often do. Praying is good! It's where we all start. But we should not stay on that level of communication. Hebrews says leave elementary teachings and go on to maturity. What's maturity? Be like kids. One day Jesus told of a story about persistent prayer. A guy (let's call him Bob) had a guest but had no bread at home. Though it was midnight, he went and banged on the door of his neighbor to ask for bread. The neighbor said he couldn't get up because he and his kids were already in bed, together. But being persistent, the neighbor got up and gave Bob some bread. We always try to be like persistent Bob. We never try to be like the neighbor's kids--in the arms of their father, resting comfortably in bed. No need to ask loudly for several times and bang on the door. All you have to do is whisper in the father's ear, "I want some milk," and pronto, you have it. Why? You're his kid! And lots of times, because you're his kid, you simply march up to the fridge and raid it--get all you want. Or turn on the TV or use the toilet or go to your room or turn on the faucet, etc, without asking your dad. That's a kid's prerogative. If you're his kid. The same with God. If you stay online, lots of times you simply click on what you like. If you're really His kid, you and the Father are one, because you are in Christ and Christ is in you. No need for those religious "daily" prayers concerning what you and other people need. Jesus says, if we stay online (being in God's Kingdom and righteousness), everything we need will just be added to us. No need to ask. Well, there are things we should ask for. Like, when Jesus resurrected Lazarus from death and when he asked the Father to forgive his persecutors. But the rest, we simply have to "raid the fridge." So, just stay online.

Well i pray as often as i feel the need to.Prayer for me is talking to my best friend which is GOD and i dont see why we shouldnt pray every chance that we get.Dont you talk to your friends often?Dont you watch tv often?Prayer is not only about asking, its also about thanking, praising and communicating. To me when you pray you are just showing HIM how important HE is in your life and how much you want to be with HIM.The relationship we have with GOD id different to the relationship we have with our human parents.HE understands us more than they can.I agree with you, we should stay online with HIM.GOD BLESS!!!!
